Overview
|
The annual SA Police Officer of the Year Award is the Unley Rotary Club’s way of highlighting, on behalf of the wider community, the quality of service provided by our Police.
This award recognises an outstanding and committed police officer who performs above and beyond the call of duty displaying attributes such as:
Nominations are sort across South Australia from Organisations, Service Clubs, Community Groups, and Individuals.
Each nomination is gratefully received and acknowledged.
All nominations are carefully considered by an experienced panel from the Rotary Club of Unley who selects the winner.
Endorsement is then sought from the Commissioner of Police after which the winner is announced at a presentation ceremony and given a personalized desk plaque and lapel badge and has their name engraved on the perpetual trophy which resides in the headquarters of SAPOL.
After the award is made, all other nominated officers are advised accordingly, as are their supervisors
Nominations are now open for the 2025 award and CLOSE on the 11th July 2025

The following are excluded from making nominations:
Nominations can be made of officers serving over the current and past 2 years.
Nominators of Officers who were unsuccessful in the recent past, are welcome to resubmit their nominations should they wish.
