Jason welcomed one and all. The first order of business was to select the best Christmas head-wear. Local MP David Pisoni was asked to judge this international event. He did it diligently but Jason needs to fix David's eyesight. Undoubtedly the top chapeau was worn by Sorel......not Jerry who stole his from PDG Roy Armstrong.
Jason thanked those who had organised and contributed to a highly successful Carols at the Rotunda on Sunday. Photos are shown below.
The meeting was officially closed in record time at 7pm.....maybe a mea culpa for previous missed deadlines.
One of the highlights was the raffle of the Christmas fruit cake baked by Rhonda (with help from husband Roger in the form of copious brandy). Fittingly the editor's best mate Beverley won the prized gateau. $139 raised from the raffle is to be donated to the drought effort.
There was a lucky door prize which was won by Trevor's mate Madeleine Martin...definitely a mates' night!
After a range of quality food, excellent company and copious messages of goodwill the happy gathering wended home.
Apology......have spent many hours dealing with the brilliant new Club Runner bulletin system and it is simply awful...doesn't run on the normal protocols, causes screen clogging, cannot readily insert photos and has been prone to reproduce inserted photos 40-50 times once inserted. When the Canadians sort it out I will send the other photos from our Christmas celebrations. The photos below were put in before this fabulous new system was launched (but note that they are now no longer in kilter). Undoubtedly it will get sorted by the time Jerry looks after our first meeting in January.
